41 y/o Female
The patient, a 41-year-old female, reported primary concerns of TMJ/jaw pain, snoring, grinding, and allergies in her initial paperwork and during intake. In her final responses, she indicated that her TMJ/jaw pain is non-existent, which is directly related to her cessation of nocturnal grinding. The snore recordings show a significant reduction in snoring events (15 separate snore events initially to 3 snoring events in the final recording), resulting in improved sleep quality. Additionally, she reports that she no longer experiences any usual allergies.

A young male patient, aged 14, presented with primary concerns of jaw pain and allergies. Upon follow-up, he reported that his TMJ/jaw pain is now non-existent. He also noted an improvement in his asthma. Previously, his asthma affected his stamina such that he could only run half a lap in gym class before needing to stop to catch his breath. He now can run 2 laps before needing to stop.
He also indicated that he has not experienced the same level of seasonal allergies as he did before therapy. Additionally, according to his symptom tracker, the following symptoms have greatly improved from frequently or always occurring to rarely or never: blocked/runny nose, difficulty concentrating, sweaty hands/feet, fidgeting, and throat clearing.

The initial concerns upon intake were mouth breathing and speech difficulties. The Symptom Tracker indicated a 62% improvement in sleep-related symptoms. Both the patient and her mother reported that she is nasal breathing during the day, and her mother noted that she is predominantly nasal breathing at night. Additionally, her mother stated that she has successfully completed Speech Therapy at school.
[8-year-old female]
In February this year, I began a Myofunctional Therapy program after checking every box on the symptom tracker. I was headed for a CPAP eventually. Throughout the therapy, my symptom score decreased from 43 to 0. I had the best experience, and I highly recommend Myofunctional Therapy.
Here's my official testimony:
Stina Wilburn provided a transformative experience for me through Myofunctional Therapy. Her ability not only to guide me in performing the exercises effectively but also to explain the underlying mechanics was key to my understanding and progress. I achieved significant improvements, from sleeping soundly without external aids such as melatonin or appliances to addressing a range of symptoms like daily headaches and jaw clenching.
My success story is a testament to the value of
Myofunctional Therapy and how it can lead to lasting,
automatic changes in the body.” [Audra L.]
“You know how people are taping their mouths shut to get better sleep? Lots of people use CPAP machines, take melatonin, wake multiple times a night, or wake up exhausted with a headache. If that sounds familiar, this is for you."

“Myofunctional Therapy was very helpful for me. I had TMJ issues and was having jaw and neck pain. Shortly after starting I could tell the difference. About one month in I was no longer having neck pain. Shortly after that my jaw pain was gone. Stina is a great teacher and explains the exercises very well. She is easy to talk to, and the therapy was never too much to get done while doing everyday things.” [Josh P.]
"I would recommend this to anyone."
“I cannot thank Stina enough for her guidance and passion for Myofunctional Therapy. Before starting this journey, I was unsure what the missing piece of the puzzle was for my improved overall health. I was missing a key part of life without Myofunctional Therapy.
Doing this program has improved my chewing, sleeping, breathing, and digestion. Over the years, my body had learned to rely on other muscles, which created poor habits. Myofunctional Therapy has helped correct all my dysfunctions and put me back on track. Thank you for all you have done in educating me and keeping me on track with the exercises!”
